FAQ

How long can I study Japanese in Japan?

We can help you book a Japanese program from 1 day up to 2 years or more. Obviously, we recommend you to enroll for at least 1 month in order for your program to be fruitful. But some schools will accept that you attend just 1 day of class. Note that if you want to study for 2 years, you would likely need a student visa and for more than 2 years, you may need a succession of 2 or more visas. Of course we will explain you this on a case by case basis after you have told us about your plans.

What types of courses can I attend?

It depends on each school but of course all of our schools provide Japanese language courses. There, you will learn all the Japanese language skills, including writing and reading, too. For short programs, we recommend to attend a course focused on conversation only as it will be more efficient as opposed to having to spend time on writing skills during a short period.

In addition to standard Japanese courses and language focused courses, some schools provide also preparation for JLPT, preparation to work in Japan, cultural courses, private and online courses.

Will I need a visa to study Japanese?

It depends on the duration of your stay and/or your nationality. For example, if you want to study 2 years, you will likely need a student visa but for 3 months only you might not need any visa. Contact us to know more!

In what language are the courses dispensed?

Unless it is specifically mentioned, the courses are in full immersion, therefore in Japanese. This is what is called "the direct method" and this is how almost all schools operate. Some teachers can speak English but not all. Also keep in mind: there are students from all over the world. Not just native English speakers. Last but not least, this method is the most efficient!

I just want to study for fun, nothing too serious. You have a course for me?

Yes of course. Some schools provide less intense courses. We will likely guide you to a course that focuses on conversation and that comprises lots of activities for a livly program!

How much does it cost to benefit from your services?

Our services are free, except for the airport pickup other than at Narita and Haneda for courses of over 3 months. Your school will give us a commission once you enroll. Do not worry: the tuition fees remain the same, whether you contact them directly or whether you use our services, which we hope you will! Of course you can check the school fees directly on its website - everything is transparent.

So if I don't arrive at Narita or Haneda airport or if my Japanese language course is less than 3 months, I cannot benefit from the free airport pickup?

That's correct. Unfortunately we cannot afford to provide this free services at other airports than Narita and Haneda (we are located in the Tokyo area) though we are working on that too! Also, for courses of less than 3 months, we cannot afford to arrange that free service.

Why should I use your services?

Well, we may be biased :-) and that may sound quite immodest but we think you will love our guidance all along your project, from the preparation to the assistance in Japan. Sometimes it is actually not so easy to communicate with the school so we are here (though from a distance) to facilitate that. And out of school, you can contact your designated counsellor here in Japan. We want to make your experience feel cozy and safe.

Can you help me book accommodations although I do not want to study Japanese?

We assist only our students. This is our main activity: to help people learn Japanese in Japan. Our other services are provided in order for our students to live the complete experience how they wanted.

Can I contact my counsellor anytime?

Yes, feel free to contact your counsellor anytime. However, they may not be able to answer right away, especially if it is during weekends or holidays or at night.
